On her journey to finding meaningful work, Tara's pursuing her love of solving problems and helping businesses to improve.

"Public relations advice is often expensive, misunderstood or inaccessible, particularly when you're starting out. Timely support can help you gain the clarity and confidence you need to communicate your ideas, services and story to your customers and other key stakeholders.

Every business journey is unique, so understanding your business helps us deliver the right results."

- Tara Burke

Did you know there are over 400,000 small businesses in Queensland alone, but around 50% fail in the first four years of business?

Tara Burke PR is striving to change that statistic through affordable tailored one-to-one advice, explicitly focusing on communication and public relations.

Our mission is to provide a range of communication services that meet local needs from social media planning and implementation to issues and crisis management.  Our local research tells us people want to:

  • access business help when they need it

  • be shown how to do things

The key areas local businesses require help with are:

  • attracting and retaining good employees

  • internal and external communication

  • customer engagement

  • social media

  • advertising

  • establishing a business idea

  • business strategy

  • website design

The common theme running through each of these needs is communication. Focusing on the specific communication needs of each business or individual can contribute to their overall success, creating economic growth and new employment opportunities across Queensland and beyond.

Accessing communications and public relations knowledge can help and empower businesses to communicate their stories, purpose and services in a way that attracts and retains employees, engages their audiences and builds mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders.

Communication and public relations are vital ingredients in reducing small business failure.

Who do I help?

Services are currently designed to suit organisations that are:

  • individuals and non-employers

  • micro (1 - 4 employees)

  • small (5 - 19 employees)
